We’ve put together these frequently asked questions to help you find answers quickly and easily. 

What conditions can you help with?
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal issues from sports injuries and chronic pain to postural problems and post-operative rehabilitation.  The focus is on restoring movement and function through hands-on therapy, exercise, and education.

We treat all types of joint, muscle, and movement problems and pain e.g. sprains, strains and muscle tears  - from back,neck, and shoulders, to knees and ankles and everything in between.

Whether you’re a walker, a weekend runner or an elite athlete, we can help.

What conditions do you not treat?
We do not treat non-musculoskeletal or systemic medical conditions, such as neurological, cardiovascular, or respiratory issues.

What treatments do you offer?
At Peak Performance we offer Injury Assessments, Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plans, Sports Massage, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM), and Functional Cupping Therapy.

Where can I find the clinic?
Peak Performance is located in a quiet room within The Galleon Club at George Watson’s College, Colinton Road, Edinburgh.
We are open Mondays from 3:30pm–9pm and Fridays from 3:30pm–9pm. Outside of these hours, home visits may be available upon request.

Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can book directly by email, WhatsApp or  online.

What should I wear to an appointment?
Wear something comfortable. Depending on the reason for your visit, we may ask you to remove a layer of clothing to complete the assessment.

How long are sessions?
Initial injury assessments last 60 minutes; follow-up sessions are 45 minutes.
Sports Massage appointments are available for 30 or 60 minutes.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Less than 24 hours will incur a fee in accordance with our booking policy.

Is parking available?
Parking is available on the George Watson’s College campus from 3:30pm. If your appointment is before then, please use nearby street parking. This is a school policy we must follow.

Do you offer gym-based rehabilitation?
Yes,we have on-site equipment and space for strength and conditioning as part of your recovery.

Do I need to participate in sport or have a sports -related injury?
Not at all. Our services are for anyone who wants to recover well and move better—regardless of fitness level. We assess your movement patterns and use tailored rehabilitation plans to improve posture, reduce pain, and restore function.

Can you help with arthritis and chronic pain that affects mobility?
Yes — we can help manage long-term pain, improve mobility, and support you in keeping active and returning to activities that matter to you.

I’ve had surgery. When should I be seen?
As soon as your consultant allows. Early rehabilitation speeds up recovery, and the sooner we can guide you, the better your outcome is likely to be.

How long will it take to get better?
Recovery time depends on your injury and goals. During your first session, we will discuss your condition and create a clear, personalised plan.
